Dear God,
I come to you today with gratitude. The other day I went through some of my previous prayers and realized how much you have done for me over the past few years.
I think it is very common for us to pray and remember that hurt. Remember us pleading out to you God. But we often forget, once the prayer is answered, that it was exactly what we asked for. We don’t sit in your presence at that time. We don’t remember your grace. We don’t sit in gratitude, Lord.
The last time I wrote to you I was pleading for something. Something that would make it all feel worth it. Not remembering that there were times when I couldn’t even see the light. The future was too far away. But now I sit here looking back, God, and WOW!
It’s amazing to think how far you have brought me. How far you have brought my family. The woman I am now, I would have never imagined her, even just last year. And it’s all thanks to your grace and mercy, Lord.
Looking back, I can now sit in this season of waiting with peace in my heart.
I love you, God. Thank you.
